In this tour, we will explore some of the most iconic wildlife destinations in Tanzania, including Tarangire National Park, Serengeti National Park (Central and Northern), and Ngorongoro Crater. The tour starts and ends in Arusha.
Early in the morning drive to Tarangire national park for a half day game drive. You will carry with you a pick nick lunch been provided by the office. In the evening around 3pm you will exist the park and head to your Lodge in Karatu for the overnight.
In tarangire you will be able to encounter various animals. This park is home to one of the largeset elephant populations in Africa with several herds of up to 300 members per herd. In addition, there are large numbers of impalas, elands, buffaloes, giraffes, Bohor reedbuck, Coke’s hartebeest, Thompson’s gazelle, the greater and lesser kudu and on rare occasions, the unusual gerenuk and fringe –eared Oryx are also seen. You will obviously see big numbers of elephants gather here as well as the wildebeests and zebras.
Among the other common animals in the Tarangire are the leopards, lions, hyenas, and cheetah that seem to be popular within the southern open areas. The birds within the Tarangire are also quite many, there are over 545 species that have been identified here. The stunning yellow collared lovebirds and the shy starlings are in plenty here in addition to other species.
Very earl after the breakfast drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area for a full day game drive in the crater. Picnic lunch inside the crater near a hippo pool. Continue heading out towards Serengeti for the overnight.Ngorongoro Crater in Tanzania is located in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area which spans across vast expanses of highland plains, savanna woodlands and forests.
Established in 1959 as a multiple land use area, with wildlife coexisting with semi-nomadic Maasai pastoralists practicing traditional livestock grazing, it includes the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater, the world’s largest caldera. The property has global importance for biodiversity conservation due to the presence of globally threatened species, the density of wildlife inhabiting the area, and the annual migration of wildebeest, zebra, gazelles and other animals into the northern plains.
Today you will embark on another journey to explore a different part of wildlife management area called Serengeti national park where you will experience diverse wildlife in an endless plane of grassland. Overnight at Serengeti lodge. All meals included.Serengeti National Park, in northern Tanzania, is known for its massive annual migration of wildebeest and zebra. Seeking new pasture, the herds move north from their breeding grounds in the grassy southern plains. Many cross the marshy western corridor’s crocodile-infested Grumeti River. Others veer northeast to the Lobo Hills, home to black eagles. Black rhinos inhabit the granite outcrops of the Moru Kopjes.
Activity: Game drive.
After the breakfast early in the morning you will start your game drive in searching for wildlife and explore the northern part of Serengeti where you will view large numbers of migratory animals ( wildebeest and zebras) migrating towards Mara river crossing to Masai Mara in Kenya. Overnight at serengeti lodge. All meals included.
After the breakfast you will do a morning game drive seeking for more animals will heading out from the park towards Arusha city to spend your last night form the safari in a hotel.
End of the safari.
